Off the Page and On the Table – Painting Comic Style Minis
Mike’s introductory class to Comic Style painting will walk you through all of the core concepts of the style. Miniatures and ink are generally provided, but you’ll want to bring your own brushes. We recommend the 000 “Foil” from Gameenvy.net’s “Artist Arsenal” brushes for comic style lining.
Just Paint the Base – Mess-free Basing
Forget messing around with glue and flock! If you’ve got a flat base and some paint, you’ve got all you need to set your miniatures apart from the crowd. This class pairs well with the Comic Style class above but also stands on its own. As above, bring your own brushes!
Painting Fundamentals
The name says it all. This is a beginner-level introduction to the hobby of Miniature Painting, and covers all the basics – from assembly and prep work to layering, glazing, and working with metallics. You’ll feel confident in your painting in no time. This is offered as ongoing private coaching, and may be available for small groups at Phoenix Rising in St. Catharines, Ontario in the future.
